About the product

By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references

Description

Linavib D 5/10 is a tablet that contains Linagliptin 5 mg and Dapagliflozin 10 mg. It is an anti-diabetic medicine and is packed as 10x10 (Alu Alu) from Vibcare Pharma.

How it works

The tablet works through its two ingredients in different ways. Linagliptin is a DPP-4 inhibitor; it keeps the body's incretin hormones active so that more insulin is released and glucagon goes down when blood sugar is raised. Dapagliflozin is an SGLT2 inhibitor; it cuts down the glucose the kidney takes back, so the extra sugar passes out of the body in urine.

Used for

These tablets are used along with diet and exercise to improve blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Dapagliflozin can cause ketoacidosis; get prompt medical assessment if you feel unwell with nausea, vomiting, stomach pain or deep breathing. Genitourinary infections, including rare Fournier's gangrene, have been reported; pain, redness or swelling in the genital or perineal area with fever needs prompt medical evaluation.

Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
