About the product

By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references

Description

Lorivib P is a tablet from Vibcare Pharma's Prima division. Each tablet provides Lornoxicam 8 mg and Paracetamol 500 mg. It falls in the analgesic and anti-inflammatory (NSAID) class, and is packed as 10x10 (Alu Alu).

How it works

Lornoxicam works as an NSAID by lowering prostaglandins, the substances produced at an injured or inflamed spot that cause pain and swelling. Paracetamol acts on the pain centre in the brain to raise the pain threshold, and on the heat-regulating centre to reduce fever. The two ingredients act in different ways, so the tablet covers pain from the site of injury as well as from the brain side.

Used for

The tablets are used for relief of mild to moderate pain such as back pain, joint pain and stiffness in osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis, dental pain, pain after surgery and painful menstruation, and to bring down fever.

Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
