About the product

By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references

Description

Lotevib T Eye Drop is an eye drop from Vibcare Pharma. Each millilitre contains loteprednol etabonate 0.5%w/v, tobramycin sulphate 0.3%w/v and benzalkonium chloride 0.004%v/v. It belongs to the class of ophthalmic corticosteroid and antibiotic combinations. The product is packed as 5ml and is available from Vibcare Pharma's Optho division.

How it works

Loteprednol etabonate is a corticosteroid that eases swelling, redness and inflammation in the front of the eye. Tobramycin sulphate is an aminoglycoside antibiotic that acts against a wide range of bacteria, including staphylococci, streptococci and Pseudomonas aeruginosa, so infection is covered while the inflammation is treated. Benzalkonium chloride is a preservative that helps inhibit microbial growth in the drops after the bottle is opened.

Used for

These drops are used for steroid-responsive inflammatory conditions of the eye where a superficial bacterial infection is present or is likely, including inflammation of the conjunctiva, cornea and anterior segment, and inflammation after eye surgery. Prolonged use may raise intraocular pressure and lead to glaucoma, so pressure should be monitored if the drops are used for 10 days or longer.

Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
