About the product

By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references

Description

Glivib M is a tablet from Vibcare Pharma. Each tablet carries Metformin 500 mg together with Gliclazide 80 mg. It belongs to the anti-diabetic class of medicines, and it is packed as 10x15 (Blister).

How it works

Two ingredients act in different ways to bring down blood sugar. Metformin reduces the amount of sugar the liver makes and improves the body's response to insulin. Gliclazide, a sulfonylurea, stimulates the pancreas to release insulin; this can cause low blood sugar. Together, they help lower blood sugar.

Used for

Glivib M is used in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus, as an addition to diet and exercise, when sugar control is not achieved with one medicine alone.

Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
