VIBOGAIN 5% MINOXIDIL 5%w/v IP

Vibogain 5% Lotion is a minoxidil topical lotion used to regrow hair on the vertex of the scalp in men. Main uses: regrows hair on the top of the scalp (vertex) only; for men with hereditary hair loss of the pattern shown on the pack; helps thinning hair follicles produce new hair with continued use; for external use on the scalp only.

Common side effects of Vibogain 5% Lotion include itching, dryness or irritation of the scalp; redness or flaking at the application site; dandruff; changes in hair colour or texture; unwanted hair growth on the face or forehead; rash or burning sensation on the scalp. Get medical help at once if you notice chest pain or rapid heartbeat; sudden weight gain or swelling of the hands and feet; dizziness or light-headedness.

Minoxidil, the only active ingredient in this lotion, acts on the hair follicle. It is thought to improve the blood flow around the follicle and to keep the hair growth phase going for longer, so that weak and thinning follicles are able to produce new hair. Regular use over several weeks is usually needed before any change is noticed.

Must not be used by women. Must not be used on babies, children or anyone under 18 years of age. Must not be used for frontal baldness, a receding hairline, sudden or patchy hair loss, hair loss whose cause is not known, or if there is no family history of hair loss; must not be applied to other parts of the body. Must not be used on a scalp that is red, inflamed, infected, irritated or painful, or together with other medicines applied on the scalp. Check with a doctor first if you have heart disease. Keep the lotion away from fire or flame.
