About the product

By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references

Description

Vibmoxi P Eye Drop is an eye drop made by Vibcare Pharma. Each millilitre contains Moxifloxacin 0.5% w/v and Prednisolone 1% w/v. It falls in the class of antibiotic and corticosteroid eye drops used in ophthalmology. The pack is 5ml, from Vibcare Pharma's Optho division.

How it works

The drop works in two ways at the same time. Moxifloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that stops bacteria from growing, so the infection in the eye is cleared. Prednisolone is a corticosteroid that calms the body's reaction in the eye, bringing down swelling, redness and irritation in the front part of the eye. Together they treat the infection and the inflammation that comes with it.

Used for

This eye drop is used for bacterial infection of the outer eye, like bacterial conjunctivitis, and for swelling and redness of the eye when a bacterial infection is present or likely; it is also used for inflammation of the front of the eye that needs a steroid along with an antibiotic.

Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
