About the product

By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references

Description

Vibonep Eye Drop is an ophthalmic drop from Vibcare Pharma. Each millilitre contains Nepafenac 0.1% w/v. It belongs to the class of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAID) eye drops. The product is packed as 5ml and is offered from Vibcare Pharma's Optho division.

How it works

Nepafenac is a prodrug. Once placed in the eye, it passes through the cornea and is converted by the eye tissues into amfenac, an active anti-inflammatory substance. Amfenac blocks cyclooxygenase, the enzyme the eye needs to make prostaglandins. Prostaglandins are the chemicals behind pain, swelling and redness after eye surgery. By reducing their production in the eye, the drops help settle pain and inflammation after cataract surgery.

Used for

Vibonep Eye Drop is used for pain and inflammation in the eye after cataract surgery. These drops can slow healing and may affect the cornea, and using them together with topical steroid drops in the eye may increase the potential for healing problems.

Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
