About the product

By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references

Description

Photovib SPF 50 is a sunscreen lotion from Vibcare Pharma's Grace division. Each millilitre combines Octinoxate 7.5%w/v, Avobenzone 3.0%w/v, Oxybenzone 3.0%w/v, Titanium Dioxide 2.0w/v and Vitamin E 0.2%w/v. It belongs to the Dermatology & Topical (Sunscreen) class and is packed as 50ml.

How it works

Octinoxate and Oxybenzone work by absorbing ultraviolet B rays before they reach the skin, while Avobenzone absorbs ultraviolet A rays. Titanium Dioxide rests on the skin surface and reflects and scatters ultraviolet rays away, adding to this cover. Vitamin E works as an antioxidant that conditions the skin surface. Together these agents form a film on the skin that lowers the amount of ultraviolet light reaching it.

Used for

Photovib SPF 50 helps prevent sunburn and, if used as directed with other sun protection measures, helps decrease the risk of skin cancer and early skin ageing caused by the sun. Keep it out of the eyes and rinse with water if it gets in. Keep out of reach of children; if swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Centre right away.

Read the label, and ask a doctor or pharmacist if unsure.
