Olmivib AMH 40 tablets are used to lower high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults. Main uses: treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension) to lower blood pressure; used alone or together with other blood pressure lowering medicines; lowering blood pressure helps reduce the risk of fatal and non-fatal cardiovascular events, mainly stroke and heart attack; control of blood pressure as part of overall cardiovascular risk management.

Common side effects of Olmivib AMH 40 Tablet include dizziness; swelling of the ankles or feet (peripheral oedema); headache; tiredness; nasopharyngitis (sore throat and blocked or runny nose); muscle spasms. Get medical help at once if you notice harm to the developing baby if taken during pregnancy; the medicine must be stopped as soon as pregnancy is detected; low blood pressure (hypotension), especially in patients who are short of salt or fluid; changes in fluid or electrolyte balance (including potassium).

The three ingredients act on three different parts of blood pressure control. Olmesartan Medoxomil blocks angiotensin II, so blood vessels relax and salt is not held back. Hydrochlorothiazide works in the kidney to push out sodium and chloride in urine, which reduces the amount of fluid inside the blood vessels and lowers pressure.

Must not be used in patients with anuria (no urine formation). Must not be used by patients allergic to any ingredient or to other sulfonamide-derived drugs.
