About the product

By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references

Description

A syrup from Vibcare Pharma, Lamonic carries Phenylephrine 5 mg and Chlorpheniramine Maleate 2 mg in every unit. The medicine is grouped in the cough and cold class and is packed as 60ml from Vibcare Pharma's Evermed division.

How it works

The syrup works through its two ingredients in different ways. Phenylephrine works on the blood vessels of the nose, narrowing them so that swelling settles and breathing through the nose becomes easier. Chlorpheniramine Maleate blocks the action of histamine, which brings down a runny nose, sneezing and itchy or watery eyes. This antihistamine can also bring on sleepiness, so people who feel drowsy after taking it should not drive.

Used for

Lamonic is used for the temporary relief of common cold symptoms such as a blocked or runny nose, sneezing and itchy or watery eyes.
