VIBPREG NT PREGABALIN 75mg. IP + NORTRIPTYLINE 10mg. IP

Vibpreg NT tablets contain Pregabalin 75 mg with Nortriptyline 10 mg and are used for the management of neuropathic (nerve) pain. Main uses: management of neuropathic (nerve) pain associated with diabetic peripheral neuropathy; management of nerve pain that remains after shingles (postherpetic neuralgia); management of neuropathic pain associated with spinal cord injury.

Common side effects of Vibpreg NT Tablet include dizziness; drowsiness (somnolence); dry mouth; swelling of hands, feet or ankles (edema); blurred vision; weight gain. Get medical help at once if you notice swelling of the throat, face or neck (angioedema), which may affect breathing; suicidal thoughts or behaviour; breathing difficulty (respiratory depression), especially with other sedating medicines.

Pregabalin acts on calcium channels in the nerves and lowers the release of pain-carrying chemicals in the spinal cord. Nortriptyline, a tricyclic antidepressant, raises noradrenaline and serotonin in the brain and helps calm pain messages coming from damaged nerves. The two work on nerve pain in different ways.

Must not be used by patients allergic to pregabalin, nortriptyline or any other tricyclic antidepressant. Must not be used together with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs), or within 14 days of starting or stopping them. Must not be used after a recent heart attack (myocardial infarction).
