Description
Syrup combining lysine hydrochloride 375 mg with B vitamins: nicotinamide 15 mg, pyridoxine hydrochloride 0.75 mg and cyanocobalamin 2 mcg. Lysine is an essential amino acid that the body cannot make; diets based mainly on cereals are often low in lysine, which limits protein synthesis and growth. Nicotinamide and pyridoxine are coenzymes in energy and protein metabolism, and pyridoxine is also needed for amino acid metabolism. Vitamin B12 supports red blood cell formation and nerve function. Together they provide an amino acid and B vitamins used to support appetite, protein building and energy metabolism in children and adults with inadequate diet. Taken after meals as directed; the bottle is shaken before use.

Nausea, stomach upset, abdominal pain, loose stools., Rarely, allergic reactions., High-dose lysine may increase calcium absorption; people with kidney disease should use it on medical advice., Pyridoxine can reduce the effect of levodopa when given without carbidopa., Contains sugar; diabetics should use it on medical advice., Not for use in known allergy to any ingredient or in rare inherited disorders of lysine metabolism.
