About the product

By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references

Description

Rosuvib CV 10 is a capsule with two cardiovascular medicines in one. Each capsule gives rosuvastatin 10 mg and clopidogrel 75 mg. It belongs to the lipid-lowering and anti-platelet class. The pack is 10x10 (Alu Alu), from Vibcare Pharma's C.U.R.E. division.

How it works

Rosuvastatin blocks HMG-CoA reductase, the liver enzyme that makes cholesterol, so cholesterol production drops and LDL cholesterol in the blood goes down. Clopidogrel becomes an active form in the body that binds to P2Y12 ADP receptors on platelets and keeps them from sticking together. The two parts act on blood fats and on platelet clumping at the same time.

Used for

It is used to lower LDL cholesterol and to reduce the rate of heart attack and stroke in acute coronary syndrome (where it is given with aspirin), recent heart attack, recent stroke or established peripheral arterial disease. Clopidogrel acts only after CYP2C19 converts it to its active form, so in poor metabolizers the platelet effect is reduced and a doctor may consider another P2Y12 inhibitor after testing.

Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
