About the product

By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references

Description

Sildovib D8 is a capsule for oral use from Vibcare Pharma's Genvimax division, packed as 10x1x10 (Alu Alu). Each capsule holds Silodosin 8 mg and Dutasteride 0.5 mg, in the Urology & Renal class of medicines.

How it works

Silodosin and dutasteride act on different targets in this capsule. Silodosin blocks alpha-1 receptors in the prostate, bladder base, bladder neck and prostatic urethra, relaxing the smooth muscle in these areas so that urine flow improves and BPH symptoms reduce. Dutasteride blocks both forms of the enzyme 5 alpha-reductase that convert testosterone into DHT, the androgen mainly responsible for development and enlargement of the prostate gland, and so the level of DHT in the body falls.

Used for

Sildovib D8 treats the signs and symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia in men with an enlarged prostate, improving urine flow and reducing the risk of urinary retention and BPH-related surgery.

Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
