About the product
By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references
Sildovib 8 is a capsule from Vibcare Pharma's Genvimax division. Each capsule contains the ingredient Silodosin at a strength of 8 mg. It belongs to the class of alpha-1 adrenergic receptor antagonists used in urology. The product is packed as 10x1x10 (Alu Alu).
Silodosin, the active ingredient of Sildovib 8, acts on the alpha-1A receptors found mainly in the prostate, bladder base, bladder neck and prostatic urethra. By blocking these receptors, it relaxes the smooth muscle in these areas. This eases the narrowing around the urethra, so urine passes with less effort and the symptoms of an enlarged prostate are reduced.
Sildovib 8 is used for the signs and symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in adult men. Prostate cancer must be ruled out by examination before treatment. Postural hypotension and fainting can occur when treatment starts, so take care while driving or doing hazardous tasks. Patients planning cataract surgery should inform their eye doctor about this medicine.
Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
