About the product

By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references

Description

Vibtears Eye Drop is an ophthalmic eye drop made by Vibcare Pharma. It contains sodium carboxymethylcellulose 0.5%w/v and belongs to the class of lubricant eye drops (artificial tears). It is packed as 10ml and comes from Vibcare Pharma's Optho division.

How it works

Sodium carboxymethylcellulose is a lubricant for the eye surface. It spreads over the front of the eye as a moist film, holds water on the eye surface and reduces friction between the eyelid and the eye. In this way it eases the dryness, burning and irritation that occur when the eye does not stay moist.

Used for

Vibtears Eye Drop is used for the temporary relief of burning and irritation due to dryness of the eye, for discomfort from minor eye irritations or exposure to wind and sun, and as a lubricant to prevent further irritation.

Read the label, and ask a doctor or pharmacist if unsure.
