Vibcare ORS Sachet is an oral rehydration salts powder used to replace fluid and salts lost during diarrhoea and help prevent dehydration. Main uses: replaces fluid and electrolyte (salt) losses caused by diarrhoea; prevents dehydration during episodes of diarrhoea; corrects mild to moderate dehydration due to acute diarrhoea; replaces sodium, chloride and potassium lost in loose stools; supplies energy while fluid and salts are being replaced.

Common side effects of Vibcare ORS Sachet include nausea; vomiting; stomach discomfort or pain; bloated feeling (flatulence); loose stools; thirst. Get medical help at once if you notice high potassium in the blood (muscle weakness, irregular heartbeat) - seek medical help; skin rash or other allergic reaction - stop and see a doctor; swelling of the legs or face from salt and water retention.

Sodium chloride puts back the sodium and chloride lost in stools during diarrhoea. Potassium chloride restores potassium, a salt the body needs for normal muscle and nerve work. Sodium citrate helps correct the acid build-up seen in dehydration and also adds sodium. Dextrose gives energy and helps the gut take up sodium and water from the sachet.

Must not be used together with triamterene or amiloride. Must not be used by people who have high potassium in the blood. Must not be used by people with severe kidney impairment or anuria (passing very little or no urine) unless specifically directed by a healthcare professional. Check with a doctor first if you have heart disease or diabetes. Severe dehydration needs urgent medical attention; this powder is not a substitute for intravenous fluids when those are required.
