Description
Probiotic capsule with four live bacterial strains: Streptococcus faecalis T-110, Clostridium butyricum TO-A, Bacillus mesentericus TO-A and lactic acid bacillus. S. faecalis and lactic acid bacillus produce lactic acid and lower the pH of the gut, which discourages harmful bacteria. C. butyricum produces butyrate, the main energy source for the cells lining the colon. C. butyricum, B. mesentericus and lactic acid bacillus are spore-forming and tolerate stomach acid; when taken with an antibiotic, the capsule is taken at least 2 hours apart from the antibiotic dose. Together they help restore the normal gut flora after infection, antibiotic use or illness.
Side Effects
Mild bloating, wind or change in stools during the first few days., Rarely, allergic reactions., Patients who are severely immunocompromised, critically ill or have a central venous line should take probiotics only on medical advice.
