About the product

By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references

Description

Urivib 0.4 MR is a tablet made by Vibcare Pharma, supplied from the Genvimax division. Each tablet contains Tamsulosin 0.4 mg. It belongs to the urology group of medicines known as alpha-1 adrenoceptor antagonists. The product is packed as 10x10 (Alu Alu).

How it works

Tamsulosin 0.4 mg works on the smooth muscle in the prostate, the prostatic urethra and the bladder neck. In benign prostatic hyperplasia this muscle stays tight and narrows the bladder outlet, so urine cannot pass freely. By blocking alpha-1 adrenoceptors, Tamsulosin relaxes this muscle and widens the passage, which lowers the obstruction and allows urine to flow with less effort.
