Description

How it works

Every tablet carries two active ingredients with different roles. Telmisartan blocks the effect of angiotensin II on blood vessels, allowing them to relax so that blood flows more easily. Metoprolol works mainly on the heart as a beta-1 selective blocker, slowing the heart rate and reducing the workload of the heart while it beats.

  • Must not be used in severe slow heart rate, second- or third-degree heart block, cardiogenic shock, decompensated heart failure, sick sinus syndrome without a pacemaker, or systolic blood pressure below 100 mmHg
  • Must not be co-administered with aliskiren in patients with diabetes
