Vibnemic 500 Injection from Vibcare Pharma's Prima division is an injection containing Tranexamic Acid 100mg. It is an antifibrinolytic medicine, that is, one that helps keep blood clots from breaking down. The pack is 5's.
How it works
The medicine works by occupying the lysine binding sites on plasminogen and plasmin. This stops plasmin from attaching to fibrin, so the fibrin mesh of a clot is not dissolved. Clots stay firm and bleeding is reduced. The injection is meant for intravenous use only.
Used for
Vibnemic 500 Injection is used for short-term use in patients with haemophilia to reduce or prevent bleeding and to reduce the need for replacement therapy during and after tooth extraction. Use together with Factor IX should be avoided, and use must be stopped if visual or eye symptoms occur.
