Description
Oral solution containing tricholine citrate 0.55 g and non-crystallising sorbitol solution (70%) 7.15 g per dose. Sorbitol is a poorly absorbed sugar alcohol that draws water into the bowel by osmosis, softening stool and increasing bowel movements; in the upper gut it also stimulates bile flow (cholagogue effect). Tricholine citrate is a source of choline, a lipotropic factor involved in fat transport from the liver, and is used to support fat digestion and bile flow. Together they are used for loss of appetite, dyspepsia and bloating related to sluggish bile flow, and for mild constipation. Usually taken after meals, diluted in water, as prescribed.
Side Effects
Loose stools, abdominal cramps, flatulence, bloating and nausea, mainly at higher doses because of the sorbitol content; diarrhoea with excess use can lead to loss of fluid and salts., Allergic reactions are rare., People with diabetes should account for the sorbitol content., Not for use in intestinal obstruction, acute abdominal pain of unknown cause, hereditary fructose intolerance, severe liver failure or biliary obstruction, or in patients with severe diarrhoea or dehydration.

Loss of appetite , Dyspepsia, bloating and flatulence related to reduced bile flow , Mild constipation, as directed by the doctor
