About the product

By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references

Description

Vibtropac P Eye Drop is an ophthalmic preparation in drop form from Vibcare Pharma. Each millilitre contains Tropicamide 0.8%w/v, Phenylephrine 5%w/v and Chlorbutol 0.5%w/v. It falls in the ophthalmology class and is packed as 5ml, from Vibcare Pharma's Optho division.

How it works

Tropicamide in the formula widens the pupil and relaxes the muscle that controls focusing, so the inner structures of the eye can be seen clearly. Phenylephrine works on alpha-1 adrenergic receptors to contract the pupil's dilator muscle and narrow the blood vessels on the eye surface, adding to the pupil widening. Chlorbutol acts as a preservative and keeps the drops free from germs after the container is opened.

Used for

The drops are used for mydriasis and cycloplegia during diagnostic eye procedures such as fundus examination and refraction assessment. Remove contact lenses before application.

Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
