About the product
By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references
Voglivib 0.3 is a tablet made by Vibcare Pharma as part of one of its divisions. Every tablet carries Voglibose 0.3 mg as its active ingredient. The medicine belongs to the class of alpha-glucosidase inhibitors, which are oral medicines used in type 2 diabetes mellitus. It is packed as 10x10 (Alu Alu).
Voglibose works in the small intestine by slowing the enzymes that break down complex carbohydrates into simple sugars. Because the carbohydrate is digested slowly, glucose is released and absorbed at a gradual rate. This helps control the rise in blood sugar that normally happens after a meal.
The tablet is used to help control the rise in blood sugar after meals in adults with type 2 diabetes, as an addition to diet and regular exercise, alone or with other anti-diabetic medicines. When it is taken with insulin or sulfonylureas, severe hypoglycaemia can occur, so watch for signs of low blood sugar.
Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
