VIBDOXO 400 DOXOFYLLINE 400mg. IP

Vibdoxo 400 tablets contain Doxofylline 400 mg and are used to ease breathing difficulty in asthma and COPD. Main uses: relief of bronchospasm (tightening of air passages) in asthma; difficulty in breathing in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD); chronic bronchitis with reversible airway obstruction; other reversible obstructive airway diseases.

Common side effects of Vibdoxo 400 Tablet include nausea; abdominal pain or discomfort; headache; insomnia (difficulty in sleeping); palpitations; dizziness. Get medical help at once if you notice rapid or irregular heartbeat (arrhythmia); seizures or fits; severe low blood pressure.

Doxofylline works by relaxing the muscles around the air passages in the lungs. When these muscles loosen, the airways widen and more air can flow in and out, so breathing becomes easier. It acts on the smooth muscle of the bronchi and helps reduce the tightening that causes wheezing and breathlessness in obstructive airway conditions.

Must not be used if you are allergic to doxofylline or any other xanthine medicine such as theophylline or aminophylline. Must not be used if you have had a recent heart attack (acute myocardial infarction). Must not be used if you have low blood pressure (hypotension).
