WHO-GMP Manufacturing Plant, Panchkula

The plant that makes the Vibcare range is owned and run by Vibcare Healthcare Pvt Ltd, the group manufacturing company. It stands on five acres at Dabkori in Panchkula district, about twenty minutes from our corporate office, with one lakh sq ft of built-up manufacturing area and four licensed sections. It holds its own WHO-GMP site certificate, its own GMP certificate under Revised Schedule M and its own manufacturing licences in Forms 25 and 28. This page sets out what each section can do, what is made elsewhere, and which document covers what.

Section-wise capability

Four sections, all non beta-lactam, with the annual capacity each one is built for:

Packing and printing

Blister, Alu-Alu and strip packing run in-house across all four sections, and the plant runs its own foil printing facility, so pack artwork does not sit in a vendor queue. Contract and third-party enquiries are handled directly by Vibcare Healthcare — see third-party manufacturing and oral liquid manufacturing.

Air, water and environment

57 air handling units from Edgetech serve the manufacturing blocks, tied into a building management system that logs temperature, humidity and pressure differentials in real time rather than on a clipboard. Cleanroom and HVAC qualification is documented and re-validated on schedule.

The analytical lab

Testing runs in-house, from raw material to finished goods, on instruments a purchase team will recognise:

• HPLC — Shimadzu and Agilent
• Gas chromatography — Agilent
• Dissolution testing — Electrolab
• Stability chambers — Thermolab, run to ICH conditions
• Supporting instruments from LabIndia and PCI Analytica

What is not made here

Injectables, ophthalmics and the NURALZ ayurvedic range are made at partner WHO-GMP units, not at Dabkori. Each batch ships with its own certificate of analysis, and the manufacturer name is printed on the pack. A dedicated ayurvedic unit is under construction at the Dabkori site.

How quality is run

The quality function at the plant is staffed separately from production, and covers:

• Quality assurance — BMR and BPR review, SOPs, document control and change control
• In-process quality assurance — line clearance and in-process checks against the batch record
• Regulatory affairs — product dossiers, registrations and correspondence with licensing authorities
• Process validation — validation protocols, validation batches and the revalidation schedule
• Stability — the stability programme for approved products
• Production planning and stores — GRN, issue and reconciliation of raw and packing material

A certificate of analysis for any batch is available on request, and the manufacturing source is named for any product in the range.
