About the product

By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references

Description

Carvivib 6.25 is a tablet for cardiovascular care. Each tablet carries the active ingredient Carvedilol 6.25 mg, in the class of alpha/beta-adrenergic blocking agents, commonly known as beta-blockers. The brand is packed as 10x10 (Blister) and comes from Vibcare Pharma's Cure division.

How it works

Carvedilol in Carvivib 6.25 blocks beta-adrenergic receptors, so the heart beats more slowly and with less force, which reduces its workload. At the same time it blocks alpha-1 adrenergic receptors, helping blood vessels relax so blood pressure comes down. It has no intrinsic sympathomimetic activity.

Used for

Carvivib 6.25 is used for essential hypertension, for mild to severe chronic heart failure of ischemic or cardiomyopathic origin (usually alongside diuretics, ACE inhibitors and digitalis), and to reduce cardiovascular mortality in clinically stable patients with left ventricular ejection fraction of 40% or less after a myocardial infarction.

Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.

Precautions

Do not use

  • Must not be used by patients with bronchial asthma or related bronchospastic conditions.
  • Must not be used with second- or third-degree AV block, sick sinus syndrome, or severe bradycardia (unless a permanent pacemaker is in place).
  • Must not be used in cardiogenic shock or decompensated heart failure requiring intravenous inotropic therapy.
  • Must not be used in severe hepatic impairment, or with a history of serious hypersensitivity to carvedilol, any component of the medicine, or other medicines containing carvedilol.

Ask a doctor first

  • Check with a doctor first if you have diabetes (it may mask low blood sugar symptoms) or non-allergic bronchospasm such as chronic bronchitis or emphysema (beta-blockers should be avoided, but if deemed necessary, use with caution at the lowest effective dose); do not stop the medicine suddenly, discontinuation should be supervised.
