AMLOVIB 5 (DPCO) "AMLODIPINE 5mg. IP

Amlovib 5 tablets contain amlodipine 5 mg and are used to treat high blood pressure and to manage angina chest pain. Main uses: treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension); long-term management of chronic stable angina (chest pain on exertion); management of vasospastic (Prinzmetal) angina, where chest pain occurs at rest; coronary artery disease documented on angiography in patients without heart failure.

Common side effects of Amlovib 5 Tablet include swelling of the ankles and feet (peripheral oedema); dizziness or light-headedness; headache; flushing or a feeling of warmth; palpitations (awareness of heartbeat); tiredness and drowsiness. Get medical help at once if you notice severe drop in blood pressure with light-headedness or fainting; worsening of chest pain or a heart attack in patients with severe coronary artery obstruction; yellowing of the skin or eyes due to liver problems (rare).

Each Amlovib 5 tablet contains Amlodipine 5 mg. The right dose and how long to take it depend on the condition, age and other medicines, so use Amlovib 5 Tablet only as your doctor advises.

Must not be used by patients allergic to amlodipine or any other dihydropyridine calcium channel blocker. Must not be used in severe hypotension (very low blood pressure). Must not be used in cardiogenic shock. Check with a doctor first in severe aortic stenosis, severe liver impairment, heart failure or pregnancy and breastfeeding.
