Jemazi 200 Syrup, from Vibcare Pharma, is a liquid oral suspension containing Azithromycin 200mg as the active ingredient. It is grouped under antibacterial medicines of the macrolide class and is packed as 15ml. Jemazi 200 Syrup is supplied by Vibcare Pharma's Auspin division.
The single ingredient, azithromycin, acts by blocking protein production in bacteria, which stops them from multiplying. This lets the body gain control over the infection. As a suspension, it offers a liquid option for people who have trouble taking solid dosage forms.
This medicine is used for mild to moderate infections from susceptible bacteria, including acute otitis media, community-acquired pneumonia, pharyngitis/tonsillitis, sinusitis, bronchitis and uncomplicated skin infections. In babies given the medicine in the first 42 days of life, infantile hypertrophic pyloric stenosis has been reported; contact a physician if vomiting or irritability with feeding occurs. Use only on a doctor's prescription.
