About the product

By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references

Description

A syrup in the respiratory and anti-asthmatic class, Mucomont Syrup is prepared by Vibcare Pharma. Every formulation carries Bromhexine 2 mg, Menthol 0.5 mg, Terbutaline 1.25 mg and Guaiphenesin 50 mg. It comes packed as 100ml and belongs to Vibcare Pharma's Evermed division.

How it works

In this syrup, Terbutaline acts on the muscles around the airways, relaxing them to relieve bronchospasm. Bromhexine works on sticky mucus, splitting it so it moves out of the bronchial tubes. Guaiphenesin works as an expectorant by loosening phlegm and thinning bronchial secretions to help them drain, and Menthol adds a cooling sensation in the throat and airways.

Used for

It is used for cough along with thick phlegm and for reversible bronchospasm related to asthma, bronchitis and emphysema. A doctor should be consulted first in heart disease, high blood pressure, thyroid problems, diabetes or epilepsy, during pregnancy and breastfeeding, and for young children.

Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
