About the product

By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references

Description

Folijem Plus comes in tablet form from Vibcare Pharma, with Doxylamine 10 mg, Pyridoxine 10 mg and Folic Acid 2.5 mg in each tablet. It is grouped with antihistamine plus vitamin B6 and folic acid combinations intended for use in pregnancy. This item is packed as 10x30 (Blister) and belongs to Vibcare Pharma's Auspin division.

How it works

Doxylamine works as an antihistamine to lessen nausea and vomiting and also brings on sleepiness. Pyridoxine is vitamin B6, needed by the body for normal protein metabolism and nerve function, and here it is paired with doxylamine for nausea and vomiting of pregnancy. Folic acid is a folate source that supports normal cell growth and helps meet folic acid needs during pregnancy. It is not known exactly how doxylamine and pyridoxine work together.

Used for

Folic acid is not a treatment for pernicious anemia or vitamin B12 deficiency and can mask its signs while nerve damage keeps progressing. Drowsiness may occur, so alcohol, driving and machinery should be avoided.

Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.

  • Must not be used as the only treatment for pernicious anemia or other anemias caused by vitamin B12 deficiency; folic acid can mask the signs of pernicious anemia while nerve damage keeps progressing, so check with a doctor first
