About the product

By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references

Description

Made by Vibcare Pharma, Folivib Plus is supplied as tablets containing Doxylamine 10 mg, Pyridoxine 10 mg and Folic Acid 2.5 mg. The medicine falls in the class of an antihistamine combined with vitamin B6 and folic acid for use during pregnancy. Vibcare Pharma's Prima division offers it in the pack 10x30 (Blister).

How it works

In this tablet, doxylamine is the antihistamine part that reduces nausea and vomiting and tends to make you drowsy. Pyridoxine, which is vitamin B6, supports normal protein use and nerve function and is used alongside doxylamine in nausea and vomiting of pregnancy. Folic acid supplies folate that the body needs for normal cell growth and helps maintain folic acid intake in pregnancy. The mechanism of action of the doxylamine and pyridoxine combination is unknown.

Used for

Folic acid is not adequate treatment for pernicious anemia or vitamin B12 deficiency and may hide its signs while nerve damage keeps progressing.

Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
