Description

An oral antacid and antiflatulent suspension from Vibcare Pharma's Prima division, Gelovib MPS Suspension (womc) is supplied by Vibcare Pharma. Its composition gives Dried Aluminium Hydroxide 250mg, Magnesium Hydroxide 250mg, Activated Dimethicone 50mg and Sorbitol 1.25gm in each dose. The product is packed as 200ml.

How it works

The two antacids in the suspension, Dried Aluminium Hydroxide and Magnesium Hydroxide, work on the acid in the stomach to lessen the burning sensation of heartburn and indigestion. Activated Dimethicone brings the small gas bubbles in the stomach and intestines together so they can pass out, which relieves bloating. Sorbitol works as a sweetener and excipient, giving the liquid its sweet taste and smooth feel.
