Description
Each Fluega 150 tablet contains Fluconazole 150 mg and belongs to the antifungal class of medicines. Made by Vibcare Pharma, this product is presented in tablet form, packed as 30x1 (Blister), and is supplied from Vibcare Pharma's Evermed division.
How it works
The working part of these tablets is Fluconazole, which interferes with the making of ergosterol in the fungal cell membrane. Without enough ergosterol the membrane becomes weak, the fungus is unable to grow, and the infection is gradually controlled.
Used for
Fluega 150 is used for vaginal yeast infection due to Candida and for other fungal and Candida infections including oropharyngeal and oesophageal candidiasis, Candida urinary tract infections and cryptococcal meningitis.
Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.

- To decrease the incidence of candidiasis in patients undergoing bone marrow transplantation who receive cytotoxic chemotherapy and/or radiation therapy

Do not use
- Must not be used by patients who are allergic to fluconazole or to any of its ingredients
- Must not be used with medicines that prolong the QT interval and are metabolised by CYP3A4, such as erythromycin, pimozide and quinidine
