About the product

By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references

Description

A cream for the skin, Melavib carries Hydroquinone 2% w/w with Tretinoin 0.025% w/w and Mometasone Furoate 0.1% w/w. This combination belongs to the class of skin-lightening preparations that bring together a bleaching agent, a retinoid and a corticosteroid. It is packed as 20gm and is offered by Vibcare Pharma's Grace division.

How it works

The three ingredients work in different ways on the same problem. Hydroquinone reduces melanin production so that darkened areas lighten gradually. Tretinoin increases the turnover of the outer skin cells and helps the skin surface renew itself. Mometasone furoate, a corticosteroid, brings down redness, itching and inflammation at the site of application.

Used for

Melavib is used to gradually lighten hyperpigmented skin conditions such as melasma, chloasma, freckles, senile lentigines and other unwanted areas of melanin hyperpigmentation.
