About the product

By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references

Description

Dicover Gel is a topical gel from Vibcare Pharma's Evermed division, packed as 30gm. Every gram of the gel has Linseed Oil 3%w/w, Diclofenac Sodium 1.16%w/w, Methyl Salicylate 10%w/w, Menthol 5%w/w and Benzyl Alcohol 1%w/w. It falls in the analgesic and anti-inflammatory (NSAID) class of medicines.

How it works

The gel brings together ingredients that act in different ways. Diclofenac Sodium is an NSAID that reduces prostaglandin formation in the tissues where it is applied, and this helps to relieve pain and inflammation. Menthol produces a cooling sensation on the skin and Methyl Salicylate produces a warming counter-irritant effect, and both help ease minor aches. Linseed Oil and Benzyl Alcohol are included in the gel too, though the available labelling does not describe their specific actions in this formulation.

Dicover Gel is used for temporary relief of minor aches and pains of muscles and joints, simple backache, and pain from arthritis, strains and sprains.
