About the product

By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references

Description

From Vibcare Pharma's Evermed division comes Benfolam Forte, a capsule in the Neuro & Neuropathy class. Every capsule holds Methylcobalamin 1500 mcg, Benfotiamine 150 mg, Alpha Lipoic Acid 100 mg, Pyridoxine Hcl 3 mg, Inositol 100 mg and Folic Acid 1.5 mg. It is packed as 10x1x10 (Blister).

How it works

Methylcobalamin in the capsule is an active form of vitamin B12 that supports nerve health and blood cell formation. Benfotiamine is a fat-soluble vitamin B1 form used by the body for normal nerve function. Alpha Lipoic Acid works as an antioxidant, and Pyridoxine Hcl (vitamin B6) takes part in nerve signalling. Inositol is a vitamin-like substance used in cell messaging. Folic Acid, or vitamin B9, works with B12 in the formation of blood cells.

Used for

Benfolam Forte is used for nutritional support of nerve health and in people whose vitamin B12 or folate levels are low. It is also given as supportive care in peripheral neuropathy with numbness, tingling or burning sensations. With folic acid above 1 mg in each capsule, vitamin B12 deficiency must be properly assessed and treated before use, because folic acid can precipitate or worsen the nerve damage of B12 deficiency.

Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.

Precautions

  • Must not be used by people with a known allergy to any of its ingredients
  • Must not be used as the only treatment for pernicious anaemia or other anaemia caused by vitamin B12 deficiency, as folic acid can mask its signs while nerve damage continues; folic acid above 1 mg daily, as in this product, may precipitate or worsen the nerve damage of vitamin B12 deficiency, so vitamin B12 deficiency must be properly assessed and treated
