About the product

By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references

Description

Benonor Forte is a capsule made by Vibcare Pharma under its Medanor division. It contains Methylcobalamin 1500 mcg, Benfotiamine 150 mg, Alpha Lipoic Acid 100 mg, Pyridoxine Hcl 3 mg, Inositol 100 mg and Folic Acid 1.5 mg in each capsule. The class is Neuro & Neuropathy, and the pack is 10x1x10 (Blister).

How it works

The capsule works through its six ingredients. Methylcobalamin provides active vitamin B12 for nerve health and blood cell formation. Benfotiamine is a fat-soluble form of vitamin B1 used by the body for normal nerve function. Alpha Lipoic Acid serves as an antioxidant. Pyridoxine Hcl is vitamin B6 and helps with nerve signalling. Inositol is a vitamin-like substance used in cell messaging, and Folic Acid is vitamin B9 that works with B12 in blood cell formation.

Used for

It is used for nutritional support of nerve health, in people with low vitamin B12 or folate levels, and as supportive care for peripheral neuropathy marked by numbness, tingling or burning. Since the folic acid in this capsule is above 1 mg, vitamin B12 deficiency has to be properly assessed and treated before use, as folic acid may precipitate or worsen the nerve damage of B12 deficiency.

Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.

Precautions

Do not use

  • Must not be used by people with a known allergy to any of its ingredients
  • Must not be used as the only treatment for pernicious anaemia or other anaemia caused by vitamin B12 deficiency, as folic acid can mask its signs while nerve damage continues; folic acid above 1 mg daily, as in this product, may precipitate or worsen the nerve damage of vitamin B12 deficiency, so vitamin B12 deficiency must be properly assessed and treated
