Vibodine 10% Ointment is a topical antiseptic ointment used on minor cuts, scrapes and burns to help keep infection away. Main uses: prevention of infection in minor cuts, scrapes and abrasions; antiseptic care of minor burns on the skin surface; antiseptic cleaning of intact skin around wounds; antiseptic dressing for superficial skin wounds; helps keep germs out of minor skin injuries while they heal.

Common side effects of Vibodine 10% Ointment include burning or stinging at the site of application; redness of the skin where the ointment is applied; itching or local skin irritation; dryness or scaling of the treated skin; brown staining of the skin or of clothing and dressings; rash at the site of application. Get medical help at once if you notice severe allergic reaction with rash, swelling of the face or difficulty breathing; thyroid problems when iodine is absorbed after prolonged use over large areas; rare kidney and metabolic problems with heavy or long continued use.
