About the product

By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references

Description

Sacuvib 100 is a tablet from Vibcare Pharma, packed as 10x10 (Alu Alu). Each tablet contains Sacubitril 100 mg and Valsartan 51 mg. It belongs to the angiotensin receptor-neprilysin inhibitor (ARNI) class of cardiovascular medicines.

How it works

Sacubitril is changed in the body to LBQ657, which blocks neprilysin and raises natural peptides such as natriuretic peptides. Valsartan blocks the angiotensin II type-1 receptor, cutting the effects of angiotensin II and lowering aldosterone release. Together they act on the heart and blood vessels.

Used for

The tablets lower the risk of cardiovascular death and hospitalisation in adults with chronic heart failure, with the benefit clearly seen when left ventricular ejection fraction is below normal. If pregnancy is detected the tablets must be stopped as soon as possible, as drugs of this type can harm the developing baby. If angioedema occurs, stop at once and get urgent medical help. Renal function and potassium should be monitored in susceptible patients.

Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.

Side Effects

Common

  • Low blood pressure (hypotension)
  • High potassium levels (hyperkalemia)
  • Cough
  • Dizziness
  • Kidney problems or renal failure

Get medical help at once if you notice

  • Swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat (angioedema) — the medicine must be stopped immediately and urgent medical help taken, as the airway needs to be monitored
  • Harm to the developing baby if taken during pregnancy
  • Marked rise in potassium levels
  • Worsening of kidney function

Uses

  • To reduce the risk of cardiovascular death and hospitalisation in adults with chronic heart failure
  • The benefit is clearly evident in patients with left ventricular ejection fraction below normal
  • For the treatment of symptomatic heart failure with systemic left ventricular systolic dysfunction in children aged one year and older
  • Reduces NT-proBNP levels in heart failure
  • Acts on the heart and blood vessels through two combined pathways (neprilysin inhibition and angiotensin II blockade)

Precautions

Do not use

  • Must not be used by anyone allergic to sacubitril, valsartan or any other ingredient of the tablet.
  • Must not be used by patients who have had swelling (angioedema) after earlier ACE inhibitor or ARB treatment.
  • Must not be used together with ACE inhibitors. It must not be started within 36 hours of stopping an ACE inhibitor, and an ACE inhibitor must not be started within 36 hours of stopping this medicine.
  • Must not be used with aliskiren in patients who have diabetes.

Ask a doctor first

  • If pregnancy is detected, the tablets must be stopped as soon as possible, as drugs acting on the renin-angiotensin system can harm the developing baby. Check with a doctor first if there is low blood pressure, kidney disease or high potassium, or if you are breastfeeding. Renal function and potassium should be monitored in susceptible patients.
