Telmivib AM (10 Pack) tablets contain Telmisartan 40 mg and Amlodipine 5 mg and are used for the treatment of hypertension. Main uses: treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure); lowers blood pressure when used on its own or together with other antihypertensive medicines; control of high blood pressure as part of overall cardiovascular risk management, along with lifestyle and other measures.

Common side effects of Telmivib AM Tablet include swelling of the ankles or feet (peripheral oedema); dizziness; back pain; headache; feeling lightheaded on standing (low blood pressure); flushing or a warm feeling in the face. Get medical help at once if you notice injury and death to the developing fetus if used during pregnancy; symptomatic hypotension with marked drop in blood pressure; allergic reaction including swelling of the face, lips or tongue (angioedema) or anaphylaxis.

Each Telmivib AM tablet contains Telmisartan 40 mg + Amlodipine 5 mg. The right dose and how long to take it depend on the condition, age and other medicines, so use Telmivib AM Tablet only as your doctor advises.

Inside the tablet the two ingredients act in different ways. Telmisartan blocks angiotensin II, a chemical that tightens blood vessels, so the vessels relax. Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker that eases the squeeze on blood vessel walls and helps them widen. Together they bring blood pressure down.

Must not be used by patients with known hypersensitivity, such as anaphylaxis or angioedema, to telmisartan, amlodipine or any other component of the tablet. Must not be used in pregnant women; when pregnancy is detected, the tablet must be discontinued as soon as possible. Must not be given together with aliskiren in patients with diabetes. Check with a doctor first in patients with liver or kidney impairment, severe aortic stenosis, volume or salt depletion, or heart failure. Check with a doctor first about other medicines in use; concomitant use with an ACE inhibitor is to be avoided.
