Telsojem H tablets lower blood pressure and are used for the treatment of hypertension. Main uses: treatment of hypertension, to lower blood pressure; lowering blood pressure reduces the risk of fatal and non-fatal cardiovascular events, mainly strokes and heart attacks; blood pressure control as part of overall cardiovascular risk management, along with lifestyle and other measures; many patients need more than one medicine to reach blood pressure goals, as advised by the doctor.

Common side effects of Telsojem H Tablet include upper respiratory tract infection; dizziness; sinusitis; diarrhoea; fatigue; flu-like symptoms. Get medical help at once if you notice low blood pressure (hypotension), especially in patients with volume or salt depletion; kidney (renal) impairment; fluid or electrolyte imbalance, including low potassium.

Each Telsojem H tablet contains Telmisartan 40 mg + Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg. The right dose and how long to take it depend on the condition, age and other medicines, so use Telsojem H Tablet only as your doctor advises.

Hydrochlorothiazide in the tablet works as a diuretic, helping the kidneys flush out extra salt and water. Telmisartan blocks angiotensin II so that blood vessels relax and widen. The combined action lowers raised blood pressure in hypertension.

Must not be used by patients who are allergic to telmisartan, hydrochlorothiazide or any other component of the product. Must not be used in patients with anuria (no urine formation). Must not be used with aliskiren in patients with diabetes. Must not be used during pregnancy; drugs acting on the renin-angiotensin system can injure and cause death of the developing baby, so the medicine must be stopped as soon as pregnancy is detected. Check with a doctor first if there is volume or salt depletion, kidney problems, electrolyte imbalance, glaucoma or eye problems, or if other blood pressure or potassium-affecting medicines are being taken.
