Tenlivib M 500 tablets from Vibcare Pharma provide Teneligliptin 20 mg and Metformin 500 mg for adults with type 2 diabetes. Common side effects of Tenlivib M 500 Tablet include diarrhoea; nausea or vomiting; stomach pain or discomfort; headache; upper respiratory tract infection; low blood sugar (mainly when taken with insulin or a sulfonylurea). Get medical help at once if you notice lactic acidosis from metformin (rare but serious): weakness, muscle pain, breathing difficulty, sleepiness, stomach pain; pancreatitis: severe and persistent stomach pain that may reach the back; serious allergic reactions including swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat.

The action of the tablet comes from its two ingredients. Teneligliptin, a DPP-4 inhibitor, slows the inactivation of incretin hormones from the gut, which supports glucose-dependent insulin release and helps control the rise in sugar after meals. Metformin, a biguanide, lowers the output of glucose from the liver and helps peripheral tissues respond to insulin. Used together, they address blood sugar control in more than one way.

Must not be used in patients with severe kidney impairment. Must not be used in patients with metabolic acidosis, including diabetic ketoacidosis. Must not be used by anyone who has had a serious allergic reaction to teneligliptin, metformin or any ingredient of the tablet. Not recommended for type 1 diabetes mellitus. Check with a doctor first if you drink alcohol heavily, have heart failure risk factors, are over 65 years, need contrast X-ray dye or surgery, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or use insulin or a sulfonylurea.
