JEMCORT 40TRIAMCINOLONE ACETONIDE 40mg. IP

Jemcort 40 is an injectable corticosteroid with triamcinolone acetonide 40 mg for severe allergic states and serious skin disorders. Main uses: control of severe or disabling allergic conditions not responding to adequate trials of conventional treatment, such as asthma, atopic dermatitis, contact dermatitis, drug hypersensitivity reactions and allergic rhinitis; severe skin disorders such as pemphigus, bullous dermatitis herpetiformis, exfoliative erythroderma and severe erythema multiforme; endocrine disorders including primary or secondary adrenocortical insufficiency and congenital adrenal hyperplasia (with mineralocorticoids where applicable); hypercalcemia associated with cancer and nonsuppurative thyroiditis; to tide a patient over a critical period of the disease in regional enteritis and ulcerative colitis.

Common side effects of Jemcort 40 Injection include increased blood sugar and reduced glucose tolerance; salt and water retention, swelling and raised blood pressure; cushingoid appearance and weight gain; skin changes such as acne, thin fragile skin, easy bruising, striae and delayed wound healing; menstrual irregularities; mood changes, sleep disturbance and headache. Get medical help at once if you notice severe allergic reactions including anaphylaxis and angioedema; cardiac effects such as arrhythmias, heart failure and raised blood pressure; serious neurologic events including paralysis and stroke have been reported with epidural injection, which is not an approved route.
