About the product
By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references
Vildavib M 1000 is an anti-diabetic tablet from Vibcare Pharma. Each tablet carries Vildagliptin 50 mg and Metformin 1000 mg. It is a DPP-4 inhibitor and biguanide combination, packed as 10x15 (Alu Alu), and comes from Vibcare Pharma's own brand division.
Vildagliptin, a DPP-4 inhibitor, slows the breakdown of incretin hormones, so more insulin is released after meals. Metformin, a biguanide, reduces the glucose made by the liver and helps the body respond to insulin. Together they lower high blood sugar through different pathways.
This tablet is used along with diet and exercise to improve blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Liver function is checked before and during treatment. Metformin can cause lactic acidosis, a rare but serious condition whose risk rises with kidney or liver impairment, excessive alcohol, surgery or contrast imaging, and older age; muscle pain, breathing trouble or unusual sleepiness need urgent medical help. Pregnancy and breastfeeding need a doctor's advice.
Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
