An antiparasitic drug that is used in the treatment and management of scabies and pediculosis. (Nanda & Juergens, 2021) The first-line treatment of scabies in patients older than 2 months of age. (Lina Albakri, 2010) A very effective agent against a large variety of insects and mites. (Haustein, 1991) Offers a rapid onset of action than ivermectin in patients with scabies. (Reena Sharma, 2011) A single application of permethrin that is superior to a single dose of ivermectin. (V Usha, 2000) Significantly more effective in the treatment of scabies compared with lindane. (Elham Rezaee, 2015) More effective in reducing skin irritation than crotamiton and lindane. (Lina Albakri, 2010)
