Description
Acrimol MR (AA) is a tablet made by Vibcare Pharma and supplied from its Prima division. Each tablet contains Aceclofenac 100mg, Paracetamol 325mg and Chlorzoxazone 250mg. The class of this medicine is analgesic and anti-inflammatory (NSAID), and it is packed as 10x10 (Alu Alu).
How it works
The ingredients work together in plain terms. Paracetamol eases pain and reduces fever, while Aceclofenac, an NSAID, brings down the chemicals responsible for pain, swelling and stiffness. Chlorzoxazone acts on the central nervous system to ease the discomfort of muscle spasm and is intended for use along with rest and physical therapy; it does not directly relax skeletal muscles.
Used for
Acrimol MR (AA) is used to relieve pain, swelling and stiffness in sprains, strains, backache, low back pain and soft-tissue injuries, and to reduce fever. The medicine should be stopped and a physician consulted right away if signs of liver injury such as fever, rash, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, right upper quadrant pain, dark urine or jaundice occur, or if liver enzymes become abnormal.
Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.

- Yellowish discolouration of urine from a chlorzoxazone metabolite; note that dark urine together with other symptoms can also be a sign of liver injury, which needs immediate medical advice

- Severe liver injury, including rare hepatocellular toxicity reported with chlorzoxazone
- Severe skin reactions such as reddening, rash or blisters
- Stomach or intestinal bleeding or ulcer
- Angioneurotic oedema or anaphylactic reaction (extremely rare)

Do not use
- Must not be used by anyone allergic to aceclofenac, paracetamol, chlorzoxazone or any ingredient of the tablet.
- Must not be used with any other medicine containing paracetamol or acetaminophen.
- Must not be used by patients with known intolerance to chlorzoxazone.
- Must not be used in active or recurrent peptic ulceration or gastrointestinal bleeding.
- Must not be used in the third trimester of pregnancy.
