About the product

By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references

Description

An injection from Vibcare Pharma's Auspin division, Cepojem S 1.5 carries Cefoperazone 1000 mg plus Sulbactam 500 mg in each unit. The product is a cephalosporin antibiotic combined with a beta-lactamase inhibitor and is packed as 1's.

How it works

Two parts work together in this injection. Cefoperazone, the cephalosporin, kills bacteria by preventing them from building their cell wall. Sulbactam inhibits beta-lactamase enzymes and also has activity against some organisms; by disabling the enzymes that would otherwise destroy cefoperazone, it leaves the antibiotic able to do its work.
