About the product

By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references

Description

Zardcef 500MG Injection is an injectable medicine from Vibcare Pharma's Prima division. Each unit contains Ceftriaxone 500 mg as the active ingredient. It belongs to the class of cephalosporin antibiotics (anti-infective / antibacterial agents) and is packed as 1's.

How it works

Ceftriaxone works by blocking the formation of the bacterial cell wall. Without a proper wall, the susceptible bacteria weaken and die, so the infection is brought under control. As a cephalosporin antibiotic it acts against a range of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria that are susceptible to it, and it is given by a doctor or nurse.
