Voljem MR tablets give relief from mild to moderate pain and from muscle discomfort. Main uses: relief of mild to moderate pain; relief of the signs and symptoms of osteoarthritis; relief of the signs and symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis; relief of primary dysmenorrhea (period pain); reduction of fever.

Common side effects of Voljem MR Tablet include abdominal pain; dyspepsia (indigestion); nausea; constipation or diarrhoea; flatulence (gas); drowsiness. Get medical help at once if you notice bleeding, ulceration or perforation of the stomach or intestines; heart attack or stroke; severe liver damage or, rarely, serious liver injury from chlorzoxazone.

Each Voljem MR tablet contains Diclofenac 50 mg + Paracetamol 325 mg + Chlorzoxazone 250 mg. The right dose and how long to take it depend on the condition, age and other medicines, so use Voljem MR Tablet only as your doctor advises.

The three ingredients work in different ways. Diclofenac reduces prostaglandins in the peripheral tissues, the substances that make nerves sense pain and that drive inflammation. Paracetamol relieves pain and reduces fever through its action on the body's pain and heat centres. Chlorzoxazone helps ease the discomfort that comes with acute, painful musculoskeletal conditions; its mode of action is not clearly identified but is thought to relate to its sedative effect.

Must not be used by patients with known hypersensitivity (such as anaphylactic reactions or serious skin reactions) to diclofenac or any component of this product. Must not be used by patients with a history of asthma, urticaria or allergic-type reactions after taking aspirin or other NSAIDs. Must not be used in the setting of coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery. Must not be used together with any other medicine that contains paracetamol. Must not be used in late pregnancy (third trimester), and from 20 weeks of pregnancy it may be used only if a doctor specifically advises it; check with a doctor first if you have liver disease, drink alcohol regularly, are breastfeeding, or are taking the blood thinner warfarin.
